As Brighton Church draws to a close, Pat and I are blessed and thankful for all the wonderful people who have been a part and who have been ministered to through the Church over the years.

As we embark on this life transition, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

It is an expressed desire of the remaining members for the church financial books to remain open until year's end giving opportunity for people to offer financial support during this transition.

Be Encouraged! Posted by Mark McClimens on Sunday, September 16, 2018

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16

This may be one of the most quoted verses in the Bible, and rightfully so. Yet pastor Mark mentioned this past Sunday that if one were to look up in every book of the New Testament the same chapter/verse reference, many other truths of the gospel would also be revealed. Read on what the other verses have to say.

"Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."  Hebrews 10:19-22

A few years ago our family was vacationing in the island of Belitung, Indonesia. As the tour guide was driving us around I noticed that many of the houses shared an architectural feature: they had a front main entrance, nice and formal, and then to the side of the house, set back some distance but also facing the front a smaller, more humble-looking door. I asked the guide what the purpose was of this arrangement.

Jesus is interceding for you right now. His unseen hand continually looks after you. That is why all things work together for good. Expect.favor from God. If He is for you, who can be against you.
